New Lights – New Gear!
Well after six years and many of thousands of dollars spent at Rent A Pro Limited we finally have our own lights. Yes, I just busted out a considerable sum of money to buy a Bron Elektronik AG – VISATEC
lighting kit. I bought the SOLO 316 kit. It comes with 3x SOLO 1600 which are 600Watt/Second mono lights, reflectors, softbox, barndoors, honeycombs and an umbrella. I also bought the Infared Triger device that attaches to the hotshoe of my camera and fires the lights remotely without a cable. These lights are Swiss made and the intial impression when you take them out the box is the same feel you get the first time you sit in a Mercedes Benz, these babies are a quality product, beautifully finished and they even have that “new car” smell.
Then we also busted out a Manfroto backdrop kit, two stands and a telescoping pole for hanging backdrop paper.
So finally after all these years we are fully kitted out.
I will be taking photos of the new studio all set up and ready to go as soon as I get the rest of the kit tomorrow.
