The first good picture I took – This was the one that spurred me to take up photography

Filed under: General — admin @ 10:15 am

India, Rajasthan 1993 Puskar Camel Fair about 5:30am… I had a nasty case of Delhi belly and had been in bed for two days, I couldn’t sleep so I took a walk out into the dunes just before sunrise… some of the most memorable film I have ever exposed in my early days of photography. I sent a nice print of this to my Mom and she took it to an artist in Delhi to have it made into a painting. Next time she went back to the market there were lots of copies of it for sale…

and this is one of the random camel shots I got that morning. Unfortunately all this film is in a very sorry state of repair, but perhaps one day I will have time to restore at least some of these shots to their former glory…

Hong Kong Stock Photo – Un-Loading Container Ship

Filed under: General — admin @ 10:21 pm

A few weeks ago we went to Kwai Chung to see if we could get some nice shots of Container ship being loaded. Of course we had to jump a fence and shimmy over an unused container to get these shots, only to be shortly busted by the security guards and escorted off the property. My nice shooting spot that I used for the container pictures I did last year is now a giant construction site for the Tsing Ye bridge link. Well at least we got some good shots before we were busted.
